Event details Participants from all over the world who have entered the ROUVY app will start the event from their homes or other locations. Several guest riders, including professional riders from Japan and abroad, will also participate from their homes. The event will be connected via a web conferencing system and streamed live on YouTube (Cyclist TV). Race participants can enjoy the race even more if they have a device to watch the live streaming in addition to an iPad or other device to project their own race screen.

Prizes The winners of (1) to (3) below will receive popular hometown tax returns from Imabari City and Kamijima Town in Ehime Prefecture. Participants outside Japan are also eligible.

  • (2) winners drawn from among all participants
  • (3) Three winners drawn from those who did not participate in the race but completed any of the three virtual courses by October 30

Yukiya Arashiro (38)

Born in Ishigaki City, Okinawa. A leading figure in Japanese cycling road racing, having competed in the world's most prestigious races, including the Tour de France; overall winner of the 2018 Tour de Taiwan; 35th in the individual road race at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics; and a member of the Japan Cycling Association. He won the All-Japan Championships individual road race for the third time this June. He belongs to Bahrain Victorious.

Hideto Nakane (32)

Born in Nagoya, Japan. Started cycling seriously when he was at Chukyo University, joined a Belgium-based team and raced in Europe. Currently belongs to the UCI World Tour team EF Education-EasyPost. 2018, 9th overall in the Tour of Japan. 2020. Tour de Langkawi sectional winner.

Tomoaki Takasugi (36)

Born in Kanagawa, Japan. Belongs to Iname Shinano Yamagata.In 2019, he won the Zwift National Championships using the virtual cycling app Zwift. In February of this year, he represented Japan at the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships using Zwift and placed 39th.

Hiromi Kaneko

Born in Watari-cho, Miyagi Prefecture. Belonging to Iname Shinano Yamagata, she started mountain biking at the age of 24. After switching to road biking, she won numerous uphill hill climb races, earning her the nickname "Queen of Hill Climb." In 2018 and 2019, she was runner-up in consecutive All-Japan Championships. 40 years old, she was selected to compete in the women's road race at the Tokyo Olympics and finished the race as an assistant, finishing 43rd.

Joaquin Rodriguez (43)

A former professional road rider from Spain and resident of the Principality of Andorra, he is a three-time UCI WorldTour leader and has won one Tour de France stage and one Giro d'Italia stage. He has won one Tour de France stage, one Giro d'Italia stage, and nine Vuelta a España stages. He has visited Japan for the Tour de France Saitama Criterium.

Damiano Cunego (41)

A former professional road rider from Italy, he won the Giro d'Italia overall at the age of 22. He has won four Giro d'Italia stage victories. He won the Tour de France Rookie of the Year award and two stage wins in the Vuelta a España. Two wins in the Japan Cup Cycle Road Race.

A professional cyclist born in the U.S. and living in Japan. He is an ambassador for the New Zealand road bike brand "Chapter 2". He has cycled around Japan, and as a presenter of "Cycle Around Japan" on NHK World (an international program), he shows the charms of various parts of Japan to the world. He is also active as an actor and voice actor.

Popular Instagrammer in the cycling world. She has been cycling for 7 years, changed her job to live near the mountains because she was addicted to hill climbing. She won the age group championship in the Mt. Fuji Hill Climb in 2021. In this year's Mt. Fuji Hill Climb, she came in 2nd place in the women's selection class.

Kinuyo

Born in Yokohama, Japan. After graduating from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Tokyo and working for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), she studied physical exercise and nutrition at a graduate school in the UK, where she became fascinated by the possibilities of bicycles and deepened her exploration of their effects on the body and mind. Marino Kobayashi (Marino) (28)

Born to a Spanish father and a Japanese mother, he won the U23 All-Japan Championship Road Race and the Individual TT in 2016; in 2021, he won the J-Pro Tour Round 7 for the first time. He has already won six races this year, including a win in the seventh round of the J-Pro Tour. He belongs to Matrix Powertag.
